Yes. DownNote uses the Mac's built-in setting that leaves a window out of screen shares, screenshots and screen recordings. We've tested Google Meet and the Mac's own screenshot and recording tools, and we're testing more apps before launch. A camera pointed at your screen can still see it, of course.
On your Mac. When you ask the AI something, the notes it needs go securely to our AI provider to write the answer, and we don't keep them. The privacy policy has the details.
Only where notes are allowed. DownNote is for your own notes in calls, meetings, presentations and studying. If a test or interview says no notes, that includes DownNote.
Each question, summary, or “show my page” request that needs the AI. Finding a page by its name doesn't count, and unused questions don't roll over.
